18 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24hrs

Eighteen dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 15 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, one in Dhaka South and two were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka North," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 2,182, while 16 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

In the last 24 hours, 20 dengue patients have been discharged from different hospitals. This year, 2,057 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospitals so far, reports BSS.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
