Patuakhali: Most of the students of the education institution in Kalapara of Patuakhali do not know anything about what to do to avoid dengue infection. Even though the head of the institution has received a letter regarding this, but
there is no discussion in the classroom about this. Failure to do so has created such a situation. But in the last one week at least 7 in this upazila people infected with dengue and treated at Upazila Health Complex.
It is known that in the schools of various unions of the upazila except the municipality there was no discussion about it in the class room. Students on
condition of anonymity said, many sirs said that the subject-based discussion is outside the national, international issues. But never discuss issues of dengue is the next thing.
Junayed Hossain Shawon, a class seven student of Khepupara Government
Model Secondary School said, 'No sir did not discuss in class room about dengue. Another student of the ninth grade of the same school is Junayet Islam said that even though we know a little about how to avoid dengue, the teachers are still in the class but did not discuss.
In this regard, the head teacher of Khepupara Government Model Secondary School Abdur Rahim said that apart from the classrooms, the entire campus
should be kept clean but to give students an idea in the classroom about dengue. He mentioned that he will give instructions to the teachers.
Md. Anwar Hossain, head teacher of Khepupara girls secondary school said that he has received a letter from the concerned department in this regard. He mentions that he is taking initiative.
Md. Jahangir Hossain, headmaster of Khepupara Government Mangalsukh Model Primary School, said that the accumulated water in the school grounds is to be removed.
He will take steps as well as awareness education about dengue among students to expand.
Upazila secondary education officer Md. Golam Mostafa said that A letter has been sent to the all education institution. On July 15, a meeting has been called all the head teachers of the upazila and of principals. This issue will be discussed there as well.
Upazila Primary Education Officer Achutananda Das said that the letter has already been sent in schools. He mentioned that he will take measures to monitor.
In this direction, there is no such action to prevent dengue in Kalapara Municipality. Broken tin cans in the yards of houses in various open areas of the
city Plastic containers were seen lying. Clear rain water is also accumulated in it. Some of the citizens complained.
Md. Humayun Kabir, municipal panel mayor, said, already mosquito killer medicine has arrived. It will be implemented in municipal areas within a day or
