Three more children die with measles symptoms

Three more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, while 1,300 people were diagnosed with measles symptoms and confirmed measles during the same period.


The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room disclosed the information in a press release issued here today.

According to the release, 1,218 patients with measles symptoms were identified in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of patients with measles symptoms to 196,418 from March 15 to October 4.

The number of confirmed measles cases stood at 82 in the last 24 hours, while the total number of confirmed measles cases reached 21,748 from March 15 to October 4.

Since March 15, a total of 174,149 patients with measles symptoms have been admitted to different hospitals across the country. During the same period, 166,908 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospitals.

Three people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths with measles symptoms to 1,023 since March 15.

No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours. From March 15 to October 4, 102 people died of confirmed measles across the country, reports BSS.
