The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has cancelled all leave of its doctors and employees across the country until the ongoing measles outbreak among children comes to an end.

A Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the DGHS confirmed the matter today.

He said the health directorate issued an official order in this regard on April 2.

According to the office order signed by DGHS Director (Administration) Professor Dr Jalal Uddin Mohammad Rumi, leave of all categories of doctors, officials, employees and health workers working at the DGHS and its affiliated health institutions has been suspended or cancelled.

The order said the decision was taken to ensure uninterrupted medical services and facilitate measles vaccination activities during the emergency situation caused by measles-related pneumonia among children, reports BSS.
