Lightning kills man, nephew in Kishoreganj

A man and his nephew were killed when lightning struck them while they were fishing in Changnoagaon haor in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Shah Alam, 38, son of Ishaque Mia, and Mokarram Hossain, 24, son of Nazrul Islam of Changnoagaon village.
Soheb Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Karimganj Police Station, said lightning struck Shah Alam and his nephew Mokarram while they were fishing in the haor amid rain around 7am, killing them on the spot.
As they did not return home for a long time, family members went out in search of them around 10am and found their bodies lying in knee-deep water in the haor, reports UNB.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
