The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo today organized a community interaction meeting to raise awareness among Bangladeshi expatriates about their responsibilities and the importance of complying with Japanese laws and social norms.

The event, held at the Embassy auditorium, was attended by Masakatsu Murotani, Director of the Southwest Asia Division at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from NHK WORLD-JAPAN, and a large number of Bangladeshi nationals residing across Japan, according to a message received here today.

In his remarks during the opening session, Director Murotani urged members of the Bangladeshi community to deepen their understanding of Japan’s culture, traditions, and legal framework. He highlighted Japan’s current labor and immigration policies, emphasizing that adherence to these regulations would help further strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.

During the second session, NHK WORLD-JAPAN representatives delivered a presentation on their migrant-friendly initiatives, including Bangla-language digital platforms and mobile applications designed to support Japanese language learning and promote social integration.

Participants later exchanged their experiences and perspectives on various aspects of life in Japan.

In his address, Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Md. Daud Ali underscored the importance of responsible behavior by Bangladeshi nationals amid Japan’s evolving social and political landscape. He urged the community to uphold Bangladesh’s image by demonstrating integrity, discipline, and respect for local laws and customs.

The Ambassador reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and Japan and expressed confidence that mutual understanding and cooperation between the peoples of the two nations would continue to grow through such initiatives.
