Netherlands ambassador to Bangladesh Joris van Bommel today inaugurated the centre that will facilitate short-stay (C-category) and Caribbean visa applications from Bangladeshi citizens.
Applicants can book appointments online and submit applications at the new facility from November 2, said a press release here today.
Ambassador van Bommel said the initiative reflects the Netherlands’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and people-to-people connectivity.
“Bangladesh continues to be an important partner for the Netherlands, with growing people-to-people, business, and educational exchanges,” he said adding “The new centre marks a key step in providing travelers with a convenient, efficient, and modern visa experience.”
A VFS Global spokesperson that this modern centre will ensure a seamless and enhanced experience for applicants while supporting stronger bilateral engagement,” the spokesperson added.
Applicants may access additional services such as courier delivery and SMS alerts, though these do not affect visa decisions or processing time.
VFS Global will handle administrative and biometric tasks only, while the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague remains solely responsible for visa decisions, reports BSS.
Located at Borak Mehnur, Level 7, 51/B Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka-1213, the centre operates Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm.
