Jeddah, 08-05-2025 - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemns the decision of the President of Ecuador to reopen an innovation and entrepreneurship office of diplomatic status in the occupied city of Al-Quds, considering that this illegal step is a violation of United Nations resolutions on Al-Quds, especially UN Security Council Resolution 478, which calls on countries that have established diplomatic missions in Al Quds to revoke these missions from the holy city.

The Organization urges the government of Ecuador to reverse this decision and to uphold its legal and political commitments under international law and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy. It further calls on Ecuador to refrain from taking any actions that may undermine the historical, legal, and political status of the occupied city of Al-Quds. – OIC News
