When asked about the ongoing efforts to ease congestion at Chattogram Port, Dr. Salehuddin noted that there had been significant improvements in the situation. "The port congestion issue is being addressed and the situation has steadily improved," he added.
In response to reports of soybean oil drifting near a cargo ship, the Finance Adviser acknowledged the situation, saying, "We are fully aware of the issue. Traders often use various tactics, and we are actively working to counter these. As they become more strategic, we must remain vigilant and adaptive."
Regarding concerns of possible negligence, Dr. Salehuddin assured the public that the Ministry of Commerce has been actively involved in handling the matter. "The Ministry has taken appropriate steps, and I am confident they are managing the situation effectively," he concluded.
