In a joint effort to bolster bilateral relations, the two officials reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various sectors, according to a foreign ministry statement. The discussions covered areas such as education, skills development, healthcare, and people-to-people exchanges.
The Foreign Secretary stressed the importance of increasing collaboration between technical and vocational institutions, alongside expanding scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students in China.
Ambassador Yao Wen highlighted the steps China has taken to strengthen cultural and social ties between the two nations, underlining the value of deepening people-to-people contacts.
Regarding the Rohingya crisis, Foreign Secretary Uddin expressed his gratitude for China’s continued engagement on the issue, while urging further support to facilitate a sustainable repatriation process for the displaced community.
Both parties expressed optimism about the future trajectory of Bangladesh-China relations, acknowledging the growing partnership and potential for increased collaboration in the years to come.
