Bangladesh and Algeria held discussions on Sunday to strengthen ties through expanded educational collaboration, enhanced defense cooperation, and improved agricultural partnerships. Both countries expressed a shared commitment to boosting defense ties through training and exchange programs.

The talks also touched on removing trade barriers and exploring agreements on double taxation avoidance and investment promotion.

Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani, met with Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review outcomes from recent bilateral consultations in Cairo and identify new opportunities for cooperation.

The conversation included plans to increase economic ties, focusing on investments, business exchanges, and trade facilitation.
