Pakistan’s HC Visits Jamaat Office, Meets its Ameer

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maroof, visited the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the Moghbazar area of Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon. During the visit, he met with the Ameer of the party, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, to discuss matters of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Pakistan.


The two leaders engaged in productive discussions on strengthening bilateral relations, sharing optimism for the continued growth of fraternal ties between the two nations. They expressed their hope that cooperation in various fields would continue to evolve, benefiting both countries.

Among those present at the meeting were Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner Muhammad Wasif, Political Counselor Kamran Dhangal, and several prominent Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, including Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof. Mujibur Rahman, Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Maulana A.N.M. Shamsul Islam, Secretary General Prof. Mia Golam Parwar, and Assistant Secretary General Maulana A.T.M. Masum.

The visit marked another step in strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering deeper ties between the people of Bangladesh and Pakistan. Both parties acknowledged the long-standing friendship and commitment to maintaining a cordial and cooperative relationship.
