Bangladesh, Türkiye Push for Stronger Trade Ties

Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir met with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

Bangladesh and Türkiye have underscored the need to deepen trade and investment cooperation while expanding collaboration on regional and global platforms.

The discussion took place during a meeting between Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir and Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Türkiye.

Both sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic engagement.

The Foreign Affairs Adviser highlighted the importance of further deepening the long-standing friendly ties between the two countries, based on shared values, mutual respect, and growing strategic cooperation.

Ekinci expressed Türkiye’s strong interest in enhancing relations with Bangladesh, particularly in economic partnership, development cooperation, and people-to-people connectivity. She also praised Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress.

Regional and international developments were also discussed, with both sides stressing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the growing partnership between the two countries.

Bothas  sides expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations and agreed to maintain regular high-level engagements to further strengthen cooperation.
