A powerful explosion rocked a madrasa in the Hasnabad area of South Keraniganj, Dhaka, on Friday morning, leaving four people injured, including women and children.
The blast destroyed the walls of two rooms on the western side of the madrasa’s single-storey building. Eyewitnesses and police reported that cocktail explosives, chemicals, and other bomb-making materials were recovered from the site.
The incident occurred around 10:30am at Ummal Qura International Madrasa, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the cause of the explosion and how the hazardous materials were stored in the building.
