3 held over murder of DU student Samyo in city

Police in separate raids at different parts of Sher-e-Banglanagar Police station arrested three miscreants for their alleged involvement in killing a Dhaka University (DU) student Shahriar Alam Samyo, early today.


"We arrested three miscreants for their involvement in the killing of Samyo from Sher-e-Banglanagar Thana areas early today," Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalid Monsur of Shahbagh Police Station told BSS.

“The arrested are outsiders of Dhaka University and addicted.  The identities of the detainees will be disclosed later,” he said.

Shahriar Alam Samyo, 25, a student of the 2018–19 academic session of the International Relations Department of the DU was stabbed to death at Suhrawardi Udyan area adjacent to the campus late Tuesday night, reports BSS.
