Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali announced today that any incident of violence against women recorded through the HELP App will be treated as a first information report (FIR).

He made the statement during the inauguration of the HELP App, launched by the Bangladesh Broadcast Journalist Centre (BJC) at the Daily Star Bhaban.

“If any case of violence against women is recorded in the HELP App, it will be immediately processed as an FIR,” said the DMP Commissioner. The initiative aims to ensure swift legal action and support for victims of violence.
