32 held in anti-narcotics drive in city

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 32 people from different areas of the capital for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 32 people from different areas of the capital for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
DMP’s police and detective units carried out the anti-drug campaign in the last 24 hours till 6 am Saturday arrested the drug sellers and abusers.
They seized 3,222 pieces of Yaba tablets, two bottles of phensedyl, 75gm heroin, and 5.15kg hemp from their possessions, the DMP press release said.
Total 24 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act, it added.
