Ex JCD leader stabbed dead in Bogura

A former leader of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was allegedly stabbed to death by his rivals over previous enmity in Panchbaria village of Sadar upazila of Bogura district early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Atiqur Rahman Sagor, 35, a former leader of the Sakharia Union unit of JCD and son of Shahadat Hossain of Panchbaria village.
He was also a leader of Sakharia Union unit Swechchhasebak Dal.
Mahfuz Alam, Inspector (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station, said a group of people swooped on Atiqur Rahman at around 2:30 am and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Later he was taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, reports UNB.
Police are trying to arrest those involved in the killing, Inspector Mahfuz said.
