A local Jatiyatabadi Tati Dal leader was stabbed to death by miscreants in the Khalishpur area of the city early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as M Sona Mia, president of ward No. 10 unit of Tati Dal and son of Jabbar Sardar of the Nayabati area. He used to run a grocery shop in the area.

Locals said a group of three miscreants, riding a motorcycle, swooped on him at his shop around 12:05am and chopped him indiscriminately.
