Dhaka, 25 Jan  - Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad has returned home

today following a successful campaign in the Big Bash League (BBL) in
Australia.

In his maiden BBL season, Rishad who played for Hobart Hurricanes took 15
wickets from 11 innings, finishing as the joint-leading wicket-taker amongst
the spinners in the tournament.

His brilliant performance was key in taking the side to the playoffs, even
though they failed to make the final, largely due to their batters' failure
in the crucial moment.

However, Rishad's performance was highly praised by the cricket pundits and
the Australian supports.

What made him apart from the others was that he provided breakthroughs in
crucial moments and tied the run flow in a competition dominated by power
hitters in flat pitches and suited for the fast bowling.

After showing immense skill, he was used as an attacking option, often
throwing the ball when partnerships were building or when Australia's biggest
names were at the crease.

He took the wickets like the batters of Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne,
Mohammad Rizwan, Jake Fraser-McGurk (twice), Matt Renshaw, Moises Henriques,
Aaron Hardie and others.

The BBL performance was the continuation of his superb performance in PSL
earlier last year where he claimed 12 wickets in eight innings, playing for
Lahore Qalandars.BSS
