Dhaka, 15 Sept- A five-day long Level 3 Coach Course organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has kicked off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Dhaka today.

The intensive programme is designed to equip experienced cricket coaches with the advanced knowledge, practical skills and professional tools required to operate effectively at elite levels of the game.

The course which will runs from September 15-19 brings together a distinguished team of local and international instructors and blends theoretical learning with practical, field-based application.

The panel of accomplished educators and tutors include global cricket development and high performance coaching experts such as BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul, Ross Turner, Alan Campbell, Geoff Lawson, Bangladesh spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed and Natasha Campbell.

The instructors bring expertise in coaching methodology, player development, high-performance management, sports science and cricket-specific technical skills. The course also includes specialist input from the BCB Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Unit.

Structured to meet the demands of modern high-performance coaching, the curriculum covers key domains such as coaching philosophy, skill acquisition, biomechanics, communication, game sense and physical preparation.

Coaches engage in practical modules focusing on advanced techniques in batting, pace and spin bowling, wicket keeping, fielding, catching and game-based training. Mental resilience, leadership, stakeholder management and ethical responsibilities also form integral parts of the course.

The programme emphasises reflective learning and real-time assessment. A strong digital component runs throughout the course with dedicated time for developing computer literacy skills relevant to coaching - including video analysis, digital reporting, and presentation skills.

"The BCB Level 3 Coach Course is designed not only to deepen technical and tactical understanding but also to enhance each coach's capacity to lead programmes, manage teams and contribute meaningfully to high-performance cricket environments," the BCB said in a press release today.

"Successful completion of the course leads to BCB Level 3 Coaching Certification, recognised nationally and aligned with international coaching standards."BSS
