Two Bangladeshi umpires to officiate Asia Cup matches

Dhaka, 8 Sept- Two Bangladesh umpires--Masudur Rahman Mukul and Gazi Sohel- are set to officiate in the 17th edition of Asia Cup, starting on September 9 with the Group B match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) today announced the list of match officials 
for the regional tournament and the appointments for the group-stage matches.

Apart from officiating other matches, Masudur will also stand as on-field 
umpire in the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan on September 14 
in Dubai. 

He and his compatriot Sohel will also feature in the India-UAE Group A match 
on September 10, serving as fourth and on-field umpires respectively.

Later on September 12, during the Group A match between Pakistan and Oman, 
Masudur will be the on-field umpire while Sohel will act as TV umpire.

Both the Bangladesh umpires will be seen officiating in the Sri Lanka-Hong 
Kong Group B match on September 14, with Sohel as the on-field umpire and 
Masudur the TV umpire.

Sohel, however, will be the fourth umpire in the Pakistan-UAE Group A game on 
September 17.BSS
