Dhaka, 22 April - Rain ruined the first session on Day 3 of the first Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

In a message, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) informed that no play was possible in the morning session due to a wet outfield caused by rain, and so early lunch was taken.

Play will resume at 1:00pm local time if there is no further rain. The tea break will be taken at 3:20pm, followed by the final session from 3:40pm to 6:00pm.

Bangladesh are still trailing by 25 runs after reaching 57 for 1 in their second innings at stumps on Day 2. Mahmudul Hasan Joy was batting on 28 after surviving twice, while Mominul Haque was unbeaten on 15.

Earlier, Bangladesh were folded for 191 in its first innings. Zimbabwe took an 82-run lead after being dismissed for 273.BSS
