Shorna hits century in WDPL for Abahani’s victory

Dhaka, 3 March —Shorna Akter hammered an aggressive 102 as Abahani Limited got back to winning way with a massive 168-run win over Khelgahar Samaj Kallayan Samity Women’s Cricket Team in Women’s Dhaka Premier League (WDPL) at ULAB Cricket Ground today.

Thanks to the brilliant century of Shorna who smashed nine fours and three sixes in 85 balls, Abahani racked up a gigantic 320-6. Rubya Hiader Jhilik also 
contributed with 70 while captain Farzana Haque Pinky chipped-in-with 57.

Chasing a massive target, Khelaghar crumbled under pressure and finally were 
restricted to 152-7 with Tazia Akter making an unbeaten 48. Laboni Akter took 3-33 for Abahani.

The victory put Abahani in third spot in the point table behind Mohammedan and Sheltech Cricket Academy.
