Sylhet, 13 July - Bangladesh T20 Captain Shakib Al Hasan dismissed  the notion that the dressing room environment is unsettled following the shock retirement of ODI Skipper Tamim Iqbal before settling for a six-week rest and a first ODI series defeat to Afghanistan.

He said the dressing room environment stays healthy regardless of the win of defeat or anything else and it's the people who thought the thing like 'unsettled' every time when Bangladesh loss any game.

"A lot of things may look different from the outside but I don't think we were ever unsettled in the dressing room. It's just a perception from the people outside," Shakib said here today.

"The dressing room environment is healthy as it was. I think your opinion about the state of the dressing room may be influenced from the result of the ODI series. But, I don't think the dressing-room environment is dependent on whether we win or lose."

Bangladesh which were almost invincible at home as far as the ODI format is concerned, lost the three-match series to Afghanistan by 2-1, which was their only third series defeat at own backyard since 2015.

But, they got a much-needed boost ahead of the T20 series, winning the third ODI by seven wickets.

"As players, we stay focused on where we can improve each day and how we can contribute to the team," Shakib insisted.
