Bangladesh has called on the international community to take urgent and decisive steps to end the Israeli occupation and ongoing violence in Palestine, reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain made the appeal during the Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers, held on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly High-Level Week at the UN Headquarters.

In his address, Touhid emphasized that lasting peace in the Middle East is unattainable without justice and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. He reiterated Bangladesh’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue and highlighted the country’s consistent efforts to strengthen collective Islamic solidarity.

Touhid also drew attention to Bangladesh’s contributions to the OIC’s Ten-Year Programme of Action and stressed the importance of reforming the organization to ensure more effective resource mobilization and implementation-oriented cooperation among member states.

The meeting provided a platform for OIC foreign ministers to align positions on shared concerns, including peace, security, and development priorities across the Islamic world.
