The Department of Law at Rajshahi University (RU) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Legal Aid Services Organization (NLASO) and BRAC to create internship opportunities for law students.

Under the agreement, BRAC will offer internship placements to students of the Law Department. Students will also be able to gain practical experience at NLASO, which has recently been upgraded to a directorate, said a RU press release.

The MoU also outlines collaboration to set up a Legal Aid Clinic at the university, where students can provide legal advisory services. Additionally, the three parties will jointly organize legal research programs, meetings, seminars, and other related activities.

The signing ceremony took place in Dhaka and was attended by Professor Saeeda Anju, Chair of the Law Department, faculty members, and senior officials from BRAC and NLASO, reports BSS.
