Pharma Week begins at State University of Bangladesh.



Dhaka, February 16, 2025: The 17th Pharma Week 2025 has commenced with great enthusiasm at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, State University of Bangladesh. The week-long event was inaugurated with a grand rally.

The opening ceremony began with the distribution of Pharma Week t-shirts, followed by the release of colorful balloons and white doves, marking the official launch of the festival. The excitement and aspirations of the students were clearly visible throughout the event.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain Khan, Vice-Chancellor (Designate) of the State University of Bangladesh. Addressing the students, he stated, “Your innovative mindset in the pharmaceutical sector will open new horizons.”

A vibrant rally was carried out across the campus, where students displayed handcrafted festoons, placards, and colorful alpana designs, transforming the campus into a lively space.

Various pharmaceutical slogans on placards added extra enthusiasm among the students.

Distinguished guests at the event included Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haque, Honorable Secretary of the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Hasan Kawsar, Treasurer, and Professor Md. Saiful Islam Pathan, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haque encouraged students, saying, “Your skills and innovative abilities will further enrich the pharmaceutical sector. Through this event, you will gain new knowledge that will be beneficial in your future endeavors.”

The week-long event features various workshops, seminars, poster exhibitions, indoor and outdoor games, debates, a photo exhibition, a film festival, cultural programs, and an award ceremony, along with multiple pharmaceutical innovation activities. Pharma Week 2025 offers students a remarkable opportunity for knowledge acquisition and the development of innovative thinking.
