Gold prices in Bangladesh surged again as the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) announced an increase of up to Tk 1,470 per bhori within two days.

The new rate sets top-quality 22-carat gold at Tk 175,788 per bhori, up from Tk 174,318 on Monday, 1 September.

According to BAJUS, the hike reflects rising refined gold prices in the local market. The revised rate took effect on Tuesday, 2 September.
