Summit Corporation Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore-incorporated Summit Power International Limited (SPI), has appointed Imtiaz Ibne Sattar as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As CFO, Imtiaz will lead the company’s unified finance team, overseeing project financing, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. His responsibilities include working closely with investors, financiers, and regulatory authorities. He will report directly to the Board of Directors of Summit Corporation Ltd (SCL) and collaborate with the senior leadership team of SPI.

With an extensive career in finance, Imtiaz brings over two decades of experience to his new role. He previously served as the CFO of Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh, where he managed a $4 billion balance sheet during a period of high growth, maintaining a 13% Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio, AAA credit rating, and clean audit outcomes.

In 2016, he transitioned into the healthcare sector as Director and COO at Golden Oak Care in Canada. There, he led corporatization efforts, crafted a three-year business plan, established operational models, and secured financing from investors and lenders.

Imtiaz later joined Scotiabank, where he led a major project to design a risk score model for a retail asset portfolio exceeding CAD 260 billion. The initiative contributed to regulatory remediation in alignment with OSFI (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions) standards. Prior to joining Summit, he also worked as a tax consultant with a Toronto-based advisory firm.

He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and completed an Executive Leadership Development program at INSEAD Business School, Singapore.

Beyond his professional achievements, Imtiaz has been actively involved in social initiatives, including volunteering to teach financial literacy to underserved youth at Jaago Foundation School in Dhaka and participating in Canadian banking sector events supporting breast cancer awareness.

He is also passionate about soccer, world history, economic cycles, and wildlife conservation, according to a press release from Summit Corporation.
