BGB protests killing Bangladeshi by BSF

Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) at a Sector Commanders level meeting here today protested the killing of Bangladeshi citizen by India Border Security Forces (BSF).


The meeting was held at Bangla Bandha zero point under Tentulia Upazila of the district where BGB Thakurgaon Sector Commander Colonel Golam Rabbani led the BGB team while the BSF team was led by Shiliguri Sector Commander Sri PK Sing.

After the meeting, BGB Sector Commander Golam Rabbani alleged that the BSF personsonnel have been frequently violating human rights by killing Bangladeshi people that is totally unexpected and not acceptable at all, reports BSS.

“We have expressed our deep concern and protested the killing to our national”, he said adding that they have already assured of taking measures to stop such occurrence in future.

“We have clearly notified them that such type of killings is totally brutal, inhuman and violation of all forms of international laws,” Colonel Golam Rabbani said adding that we also requested them not to use firearms at the zero line of the border.

“They can nab our people within their territory or hand over to us but they cannot kill our people,” he added.

One Al Amin, 38, son of Suruj Ali of Jinnatpara area under Panchagar Sadar upazila, was killed in BSF firing 160 yards inside Indian territory on March 8.
