BGB seizes Indian goods worth Tk 81.70 lakh in Chuadanga

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian goods, including narcotics, worth Tk 81.70 lakh in special anti-smuggling operations along the Chuadanga border.


Patrol teams of eight border outposts under the 6 BGB Battalion conducted the operations at different points along the border, according to a BGB press release issued this afternoon.

The seized goods included 68 bottles of Indian liquor, 105 bottles of Eskuf syrup, 7,680 dexamethasone tablets, 4,590 pieces of various medicines, 630 injections and 56 other tablets.

BGB team also seized four kilogrammes of onion seeds, 13 Chinese fishing nets, cosmetics and four three-piece outfits, reports BSS.

The total value of the seized goods was estimated at Tk 81,70,650, the release said.
