ICAB elects new President, 4 Vice-Presidents for 2026-27

Sabbir Ahmed FCA has been elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) for 2026–27 term.


Concurrently, Niaz Mohammed FCA, Ala Uddin FCA, Asifur Rahman FCA, and Mohammed Redwanur Rahman FCA have been elected as Vice-Presidents for the same tenure.

New ICAB President Sabbir Ahmed FCA is a partner at Huda Vasi Chowdhury & Co., one of the country's leading chartered accountancy firms (formerly known as A.F. Ferguson & Co.).

He possesses three decades of professional experience, including over 12 years of international experience working with one of the global 'Big Four' accounting firms across various countries, including Australia, Indonesia, Germany, Singapore, the UAE, and the UK, reports UNB.
