A meeting of the board of directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC was held on June 1, 2026 Monday at virtual platform. Md. Khurshid Alam, Chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting. 

Mohammad Khurshid Wahab, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Md. Abdus Salam, FCA, FCS, Chairman of the Audit Committee, S. M. Abdul Hamid, FCA, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and Professor Dr. M. Masud Rahman, independent director of the bank, attended the meeting.

In the meeting, the resignation of Managing Director Md. Omar Faruk Khan was accepted. At the same time, Md. Altaf Hossain was appointed as the acting Managing Director. – Press release
