Islami Bank inaugurates Hajj Booth

Islami Bank has opened a Hajj booth on Saturday 18 April 2026.

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC launched a special booth at the Hajj Camp in Ashkona, Dhaka, to provide banking services, necessary information, and gift items to Hajj pilgrims. Md. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director (Current Charge) of the bank inaugurated the booth as the chief guest on April 16, 2026. A.K.M. Mahbub Morshed, Head of Dhaka North Zone and Md. Maznuzzaman, Executive Vice President along with other executive & officials of the bank were present at the occasion.

Islami Bank provides banking services, information, and Hajj-related gift items to pilgrims by setting up a booth at the Ashkona Hajj Camp every year. The banking services include providing foreign currency such as Saudi Riyal and Dollar in exchange for Bangladeshi Taka, issuing Hajj Cards, endorsing Debit and Khidmah (Credit) Cards and providing ATM booth services. Through these cards, pilgrims can withdraw Riyals from any booth with the Visa logo in Saudi Arabia. On behalf of Islami Bank, clients are provided with umbrellas, handbags, shoe bags, and bags for keeping stones to be thrown in Mina. To raise awareness about the rules and processes of performing Hajj, leaflets containing various information and Hajj guidelines are also provided. – Press release
