Alliance Française de Dhaka successfully hosted PHOTO ADDA, an engaging photography session featuring renowned photographer Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan in conversation with Abir Abdullah, on Friday, 25 September 2026, at the Auditorium Nouvelle Vague, Alliance Française de Dhaka, Dhanmondi.

The session offered photography enthusiasts and audiences an opportunity to discover Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan’s photographic journey, experiences and perspectives, with a particular focus on wildlife photography and the natural world.

With a passion for photography since 1983 and a dedicated practice in wildlife photography since 2013, Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan has spent nearly 15 years photographing bird species both in Bangladesh and abroad. Through his work, he documents the diversity of avian life and the richness of the natural world, encouraging audiences to observe and appreciate the biodiversity surrounding them.

During today’s presentation, he showcased a selection of his photographs of bird species, drawing the audience’s attention to the beauty, diversity and significance of these remarkable creatures. Through his presentation, he highlighted the importance of appreciating and protecting birds, while raising awareness of the need to preserve the natural environment and ecosystems that sustain them. His work and message encouraged viewers to develop a deeper connection with nature and recognise their role in its conservation.

In conversation with Abir Abdullah, the session explored the stories behind his photographs, his experiences in the field and the creative and observational processes involved in wildlife photography.
