Aminul Islam appointed new ICT chief prosecutor

The government today appointed Md Aminul Islam as the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), granting him the status, rank and privileges of the Attorney General of Bangladesh.
The Solicitor Wing of the Law and Justice Division issued a notification in this regard earlier in the day, saying the appointment will take effect immediately.
The notification, signed by Solicitor Md Monjurul Hossain, also said the appointment of Advocate Tajul Islam as the Chief Prosecutor of the ICT has been cancelled, reports BSS.
