Mosharraf Hossain, 40, a civil technician at the Regional Public Administration Training Center in Khulna, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday morning on the Magura-Jashore highway near Moghirdhal.

He and his wife were returning home from Khulna for the Eid holidays when their motorcycle skidded on soft soil and crashed into a roadside tree around 9:00 am, said police sources.

Both sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Magura 250-bed District Hospital, where doctors declared Mosharraf dead. His wife remains under treatment.

A resident of Nakol Miyapara in Magura Sadar, Mosharraf had been serving under the Ministry of Public Administration since 2006.

The body is being kept at the Magura Sadar temporary morgue.

Magura Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Alomgir Kabir said legal procedures are underway, and the body will be handed over to the family shortly, reports BSS.
