4 bikers killed in Mymensingh, Rajshahi road crashes

Dhaka, Jan 14 — Four people were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh and Rajshahi districts on Friday.

In Mymensingh, three bikers were killed and another injured when a truck hit their motorcycle on China intersection in Shambhuganj in the evening, leaving three of the bikers dead on spot.

The deceased were identified as Babu Mia, 25, Yasin Ali, 18, and Ripon Mia, 20.

The injured is undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, said Shah Kamal Akand, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station.

The bodies were kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.

Meanwhile, in Rajshahi, motorcyclist Firoz Hossain, 16, was killed after his bike collided with a pick-up van on Rajshahi-Kakonhat road at Shulitola area in Godagari upazila around 11am.

Another was injured and is undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, said Mahbub Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Damkura Police Station. - UNB
