One killed in Mymensingh road accident
A man was killed and three others were injured in a road accident on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj regional road in Mushalli area under Nandail upazila on Tuesday.
A man was killed and three others were injured in a road accident on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj regional road in Mushalli area under Nandail upazila of the district Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, son of late Shahab Uddin, resident of Fahetpur village of Kendua upazila of Netrakona district.
The accident occurred in the area when a Mymensingh-bound passenger bus of MK Super from Kishoreganj hit a Kishoreganj-bound passenger auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction around 9.30am, leaving passenger of the auto-rickshaw Saiful Islam died on the spot and three others injured, sub-inspector (SI) of Nandail Police Station Md Kamal Hossain said.
The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he said.
Police seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene, the SI added.
