Worker dies from electrocution in Dhaka

A worker of a luggage making factory in the capital’s Kamrangirchar area died from  electrocution on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Md Talal Mia, 30, son of Ali Akbar.

According to Talal’s colleague Muktar Mia, Talal was electrocuted while using an electric sewing machine to make bags.

Talal was rushed to Shikder Medical College Hospital in a condition  from where he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.

Doctors at DMCH’s emergency unit declared him dead around 1:00pm, said, inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.

Talal’s body has been kept at DMCH morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.
